After the Vigil

It was very surprising to find Union Square
totally cleaned up when I cam back for a visit.
The memorial services and candlelight vigil that
took place for a few weeks was abruptly halted
by the NY Parks Department.

All the lawns were closed and re-seeded and new
fences were up around all the park monuments.

The only evidence of enormous vigil was the small
painting on the ground that says RIP WTC.
