America Stands Tall Towers of Light Here's a photo gallery of the Towers of Lights WTC Memorial that was illuminated from March 11, 2002 marking the six month anniversary of the terrorist attacks. The towers were lit every night through April 13, 2002. I took this photo tonight from Exchange Place, Jersey City. The Towers of Lights are to the left, the two tall buildings (center and right) are the World Financial Center. In each photo you can also see a bright square between the two tallest buildings, near the water. This is the atrium connecting both Financial Center buildings that was seriously damaged when teh towers collapsed. The bright glow of the entire area is from the recovery lights at Ground Zero, where workers are still removing debris and recovering victims. |
